Kem [Big Ben] Williams is a rebounding and low post defender [Goalie] for the Premier Basketball Team...3 Questions for Kem. Pointguard: In basketball, how important is Pride and Respect? Kem Williams: I don't like to loose! I don't believe in shaking hands before or after a game. Because I feel like there is someone on the other team that feels the same way too. Now if somebody extends their hand, I will cooperate and shake his hand. Pride is what you have and Respect is what you give and expect in return. PG: How would you describe this league? Refs/Players/Competition? KW: I think the league, from last year to this year, has gotten a little better...For example with the new teams...It makes it a bit harder for border-line teams to get into the playoff competition. PG: The Premier was at one time promoted by management as the Millennium JV...Now the Premier is in first place and the Ambassadors are in third...what do you have to say about that? KW: Most of the people at work only knew the players from the Millennium Ambassadors, because they were thirty minutes away from the championship...after not being in the league for five years. Everyone picked them to win [this season], so at the time many players at the hotel who believed they had the skills to make the Millennium Ambassadors went to the tryout. Some were dissappointed with the out-come, after the tryouts, because they felt that they weren't given a fair shot. So the Premier, to us, was like a group of regular guys that was left off the Varsity! We felt like we had no pressure on us to win, because from what we saw and heard "we weren't going to beat anyone." But the last time I checked, who was in first place? Please check the standings. Go Premier! PG: I'm down with that too!...Go Premier! Nothing would please me more that a Millennium Premier-Millennium Ambassadors Championship game. Peace and Defense.
