Good Morning, Peace and Blessings from Lahh Woods at NYDLBALL.com RADIO. This is Day Four at "Let's Get it On!" where Seaon Openers have Come & Gone! "DEPORT THEM!" is over for now ...6:08 AM EST. We are once again coming to you Live via all things good and with the Blessings of the Creator I pray that our steps, words, and actions be ordered in a Positive way...All Day! The New York Hotel Basketball League kicks off this week and already teams are scrambling to gain some advantage over the pack. There's been no shortage of smack talking, throughout the summer. Now it's that special time of the year, where the talking ends and "Let's Get It On!" Last year's champs, The Harvard Club, are back with a couple of new recruits and will be competitive. Tavern on the Green & The Sheraton has done some major recruiting and should surprise a number of teams. The Helmsley Hotel, and The Palace are back with a vengeance after early playoff exits last year. The Hilton and the Waldorf Astoria are back on the block after somewhat successful campaigns last season. Both teams had advanced well into the playoff run before elimination and should be tough. The Millennium Ambassadors are back with a new look, a new coach [Wayne Durrant] and a new attitude...The Ambassador's core group is back (R. DeJesus, M. Plummer, L. Sage, J. Cuello, S. Mayi, & A. Cruz) in shape, and hungry for the championship that eluded them as they finished 2nd overall and were regular season NYHL Champs. Expansion Teams-The Millennium Premiere is now in the mix with a competitive defense unit lead by Geno St Rose and Rafael Figueroa. The Millennium Premier have a smooth nucleus with D. Blackman, C. DeJesus, K. Williams, E. Mendez and Big Rob Ellis! The Millennium UN Plaza and the Brooklyn Marriott are new additions to the league. These "New Jack" teams combined with the veteran clubs will make this year's New York Hotel League the talk of the Big Apple. **The 2006 New York Hotel Season's Preview Video is on it's way!! Look out for it, cause it's a Smoker!!*** Games are played on Friday evenings approx 7PM at Baruch College on 24 St and Lexington Ave. New York City...Come on out and in the immortal word of Marvin Gaye,"Let's Get it On!" **NY KNICKS vs LA LAKERS REPORT [OK we'll throw in Philly & NJ] NY Knicks beat the ATL Hawks 94-82, EZ-E Curry 20 pts, J. Jeffries 15 pts- ATL-M. Williams 23 NJ beat The Bucks 108-95..V. Carter had 36 and C. Villanueva had 23 for The Bucks. Boston 101-Philly 81, T. Gomes and P. Pierce had 18 for Boston, K. Ollie had 14 for 76ers. LA Lakers Lose to the Dallas Mavs 110-101...K Bryant had 33 in losing effort. With LA All-Star Lamar Odom out with an injured knee... Who is going to step-up for the Lakers? Luke Walton??-13 pts. Radmanovic??-3 Rebounds!! Kwame?? 2 for 7!! Bynum??-4 pts. Evans??-00-Goose-egg-Dough-nut!! Kobe needs help people. I like Kobe. I think it's a shame that he cannot get any decent ballplayers around him. What was Jerry and Phil thinking about in the off season? Their golf swings?!? Kobe needs help. Unfortunately he's not going to get any from his existing teammates...Maybe, just maybe the Lakers can negotiate a deal for Allen Ivo or Stephon Marbury...Oops my bad, Steph's not available, he's already Living and Working in NYC!! DEPORT THEM!! What's going on in the Atlantic Division? Atlantic Conference-New Jersey Nets are is 1st Place & are 9-12 Boston is 8-13 in 2nd Place in the Atlantic Conference- Knicks are not far behind at 9-15.[3rd place] What can be said? Ain't no stoppin us now!! Atlantic Conference-Sixers are sliding down and are now 5-16
What's going on in the Pacific Division? - Phoenix is now is 1st Place and the Lakers are in a little bit of trouble with-out All-Star Lamar Odom [Knee Injury] Lakers are 15-7 & in 2nd Place in the (Some-what Weak) Pacific with Golden State, the Clippers, and Sacramento right on their heels (All within 1-4 games of the Lakers!!). I can't front, the Lakers have surprised me up until this point. They are a very young team, the average age is something like 16. Right now the Lakers are playing too hard!! ***With Lamar Odom out with a knee injury we will see how good Luke Walton, Radmonovic and the rest of the teenage PURPLE RAIN really are! Who will step up to the plate? Like I said before the Lakers are playing too hard right now, almost desperate on each possession.. .We shall see if they will persevere and play above the inevitable injuries. Laker Fans in NYC are beginning to feel the heat. DEPORTATION hearing have begun and we will soon be rid of Laker Fans living in NYC!! We are getting thousands of signatures on this petition and hopefully by the All-Star break we'll have these folks packed and moved out of town! We are just getting started people, you haven't seen anything yet! We can't wait to see the Lakers during the regular season, cause it's a lock that we won't see them in the playoffs. (And you know why!!) What's happening with my two notorious/infamous Laker Fans from Harlem? Keeping a low profile hugh fellas? THE JURY IS OUT...We are waiting to see if tonyton is a Laker Fan living in 212/NYC...Details at 11!! For the record Ralphboogie aka nycball aka swish bannekor has re-emmerged and the infamous DoubleNickel has resurfaced and has come out of hiding. With that said, if you see either of these gentlemen loitering in front of Madison Square Garden please contact the Knicks Box Office to prevent their entry into the building! Do you agree?
