Good Morning,

Peace and Blessings from Lahh Woods at NYDLBALL.com RADIO.  This is Day One at "Let's Get it On!" where seaon openers have come & gone! "DEPORT THEM!" is over for now ...7:08 AM EST.  We are once again coming to you Live via all things good and with the Blessings of the Creator I pray that our steps, words, and actions be ordered in a Positive way...All Day!

The New York Hotel Basketball League kicks off this week and already teams are scrambling to gain some advantage over the pack.  There's been no shortage of smack talking, throughout the summer.  Now it's that special time of the year, where the talking ends and "Let's Get It On!"  Last year's champs, The Harvard Club, are back with a couple of new recruits and will be competitive.  Tavern on the Green has done some major recruiting and should surprise a number of teams.  The Helmsley Hotel, The Sheraton and The Palace are back with a vengence after early playoff exits last year.  The Hilton and the Waldorf Astoria are back on the block after somewhat successfull campaigns last season. Both teams had advanced well into the playoff run before elimination and should be tough.  The Millennium Ambassadors are back with a new look, a new coach [Wayne Durrant] and a new attitude...The Ambassador's core group is back, in shape, and hungry for the championship that eluded them as they finished 2nd overall and were regular season champs.  Expansion Teams-The Millennium Premiere is now in the mix with a competitive defense unit lead by Geno St Rose and Rafael Figueroa. The Millennium UN Plaza and the Millennium WTC are new additons to the league.  These Millennium teams mixed witht he existing talented teams will make this years New York Hotel League the talk of the Big Apple. Games are played on Friday evenings approx 7PM at Baruch College on 24 St and Lextington Ave.  Come on out and in the immortal word of Marvin Gaye,"Let's Get it On!"

Last weekend at the Camden YMCA [35 & Over League], Bo Kimble scored about 55 points. Apparently BK is still getting the job done!  We're going to have to roll into Camden to check-out the middle-aged masters of the game

Big Game last week. Enterprise [Philly/Camden] defeated the Millennium Ambassadors [NYC] 84-69...Outstanding player of the game?...None, "It was more of a team effort, overall...no one stood out like that...It was a definitely a team effort" says Enterprise GM Avery Watkins.  Enterprise led from the start with pressure D, perimeter shooting and dominance on both sides of the glass. The usual Enterprise cast of Kimble, Buckner, Williams, Hill and Singletary [with the addition of a twenty year old blur "The Recruit"] performed well in a unified attack after their two & a half hour commute from Philly. See you next month in Philly, the Ambassadors are looking for THE BIG PAY-BACK!

The HBCU Big Apple Classic 2006...CIAA and MEAC hosted a Double Header at Madison Square Garden. The House was Rockin with Energy! The House had it's Roof Raised with the Action on and Off the Court!  The House was Empty!  Many New Yorkers missed out on a great community event at the Garden.  If you missed the B.A.C. you missed the Marching Bands.  You missed the Step Show. You missed the Fashion Show in the stands. You missed the talent laced MEAC and CIAA Conferences at their best!   In a action packed double header Bowie state lost to Virginia Union 87-42 and Howard defeated at tough Hampton team 95-84.

Congrats to Ralph's All-Stars for winning the Cherry Hill Midget Basketball League Championship for 2006.  This Pre-High School age group tournament is quickly becoming a driving force for education and athletics in the South Jersey Township.  Ralph's All-Stars had a stellar season with an undefeated record of 10-0!!  That' 10-0 record is obviously a sign of good playing and great coaching.  Way to go Ralph, continue to teach our children so they can become better athletes and even better persons in our community.  We hope to receive a season round-up report from you and your talented crew.

**NY KNICKS vs LA LAKERS REPORT  [OK we'll throw in Philly & NJ]  LA Lakers Defeat the San Antonio Spurs...106-99...K Bryant had 34, L Odom had 18 & L Walton 17 pts...Spurs...M Ginobili 23 pts, T Parker 21 & T Duncan had 16

What's going on in the Atlantic Division? It's a Horror show! Atlantic Conference-New Jersey Nets are is 1st Place & are 7-12 [3 game losing streak] Atlantic Conference-Knicks are 8-13.[2nd place] What can be said? [1 game W streak] Ain't no stoppin us now!!    Atlantic Conference-Sixers are sliding down and are now 5-14 & have lost 7 in a row!

Pacific Conference -Lakers are 14-6 & in 1st Place with a 2 game "W" streak in the {Some-what Weak) Pacific with Sac Kings, Phoenix, Golden State & the Clippers right on their heels (All within 2 games of the Lakers!!). I can't front, the Lakers have surprised me up until this point.  They are a very young team, the average age is something like 16.  Right now youth is winning over experience.  Time will tell if they can continue their winning ways and we'll see if K. Bryant can remain healthy.

Laker Fans in NYC are beginning to feel the heat. DEPORTATION hearing have begun and we will soon be rid of Laker Fans living in NYC!!  We are getting thousands of signatures on this petition and hopefully by the All-Star break we'll have these folks packed and moved out of town!  We are just getting started people, you haven't seen anything yet!  We can't wait to see the Lakers during the regular season, cause it's a lock that we won't see them in the playoffs. (And you know why!!) What's happening with my two notorious/infamous Laker Fans from Harlem? Keeping a low profile hugh fellas?

Where's DOUBLEnickel and RalphBoogie? Has anyone seen or heard from them since the DEPORTATION hearings have begun?  The Laker Cha-Cha slide may be on it's way, just in time for the holidays!! We shall see. However,as of right now, the only dancing the Lakers are doing is the KOBE NOODLE SOUP!

However, as evidenced by last week's Laker Loss...KB WANTS NOTHING, I SAID NOTHING TO DO WITH CHRIS "I'LL TAKE YOU THERE" PAUL!! Is he un-guard-able?!?  For the record Ralphboogie aka nycball aka swish bannekor has re-emmerged and the infamous DoubleNickel has resurfaced and has come out of hiding.  With that said, if you see either of these gentlemen loitering in front of Madison Square Garden please contact the Knicks Box Office to prevent their entry into the building!

Do you agree? See me in the FORUMS section...under ARTICLES or Discussion and let me know if we should DEPORT THEM!!
